Rohinton Medhora is Vice-President, Programs, at Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Ottawa. He received his doctorate in economics in 1988 from the University of Toronto, where he also subsequently taught for a number of years. At IDRC he led programs on adjustment policies and poverty, and on international economic relations. Prior to his appointment as Vice-President he was Director of Social and Economic Policy programs. His fields of expertise are monetary and trade policy, aid effectiveness and international economic relations.
