Robert Nicholls


Robert Nicholls is Professor of Coastal Engineering at the University of Southampton, and the leader of the Tyndall Centre’s coastal research programme. His research examines the implications of climate change for the coastal environment, including impacts on flood risk and the potential for adaptation. He has been a lead author in the second and third assessments of the IPCC and is a coordinating lead author in the fourth IPCC report. He was also involved in the Defra Fast Track project.
