Mthuli Ncube is a professor at the Oxford University, Blavatnik School of Government and the former Chief Economist and Vice President at the AfDB. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Finance from Cambridge University. Before joining the AfDB, he was Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is also Chairman of the Global Agenda Council on “Poverty and Economic Development” (World Economic Forum) and a Governor of the African Capacity Building Foundation.
